Cycled in all week last week, and both days this week. Nothing too drastic has happened on the roads to complain about other than a couple of car/van drivers cutting it a bit too fine when passing me. Agressing cycling is the way forward on city streets. Also doing well with my SPD pedals I think. Haven't fallen off yet....although did have a touch and go moment yesterday outside work trying to clip in and going a tad too slow.
One point of complaint actually, now that I think about it, and realise that I havent put it on here yet is the new Riverside Drive Cycleway. How is a cyclist ment to get onto it in the first place? it's not as if they have put a ramp at the Torry end of the route and before that a cyclist if on the pavement is meant to be pushing thier bike/walking. Then further along the route there is a "Cyclist Dismount" sign for a few hundred yards where the pavement goes a bit thin....this I'm afraid does not a successful cycleway make! i mean seeing as the council were working on it anyway, couldnt they have just widened the path to the advised width for both bike and pedestrian....soooo annoying! Ok rant over.
